Companies that have no direct relationship with you but hold an arsenal of data on you including your income, browsing history, purchase history, in-app behavior, address, etc. There are very few laws governing what is an isn't allowed in this industry today.

This includes companies like AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, CenturyLink, etc. Any company you use to connect to the internet is an internet service provider.

Big Tech
This includes companies like Facebook, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple. How the company makes money will give you an indication of how they will be using your information.

Streaming Platforms
Targeted advertising is coming to all streaming platforms. Hulu may have been among the first platforms to have ads but Netflix, Disney, and HBO Max have announced plans to have ad supported subscriptions. With this will come more targeted advertising and a reason for streaming platforms to get their hands on as much of your data as possible.
